What is the difference between the lenses?

The LES (Light Equalization System) lenses are coated with seven layers of micro-thin silicates and titanium dioxide to provide a unique self-calibrating system that offers high contrast and crisp definition in almost any daylight condition.

The Limiter lenses are the dark lenses for use in exceptionally bright conditions.

The Enhancer lenses have a yellow tint and provide high-contrast during dull, cloudy or hazy conditions.

All of the i-dapz lenses are made of durable, high-impact, Transolite and include a special scratch resistant coating. Each lens provides 100% protection from harmful UV-A, UV-B, and UV-C light rays.

What is the difference between a polarized and non-polarized lens?

Polarized lenses include a special layer that filters reflected and scattered light rays so you can see below the surface of water. If you look at water with the naked eye or with a standard lens, it's difficult to clearly see an object beneath the surface of the water. Polarized lenses are ideal for water activity, driving or other activities where reflected light is a problem. A special polarized lens and frame unit is available as a separate option for use with the i-dapz Active Eyewear System. See our Products Page for more information.

What is Transolite?

Transolite is our brand name for the very light, durable, and impact resistant polycarbonate that is use to manufacture the frame, arms, and lenses of the i-dapz Active Eyewear System.

How do I change the lenses and arms that came with my i-dapz?

Complete illustrated instructions for installing and removing the interchangeable lenses and arms are shipped with each i-dapz Active Eyewear System. See our Use and Care Guide section for an online version of these instructions.

What type of cleaning and maintenance do i-dapz require?

Use the microfiber mitt that is included as a bonus with your i-dapz Active Eyewear System to clean moisture or dust from the lenses. Never use a solvent or abrasive cleaner on your i-dapz since this may damage the finish or scratch the lenses.

For optimal clarity with your i-dapz sunglasses, we recommend our own anti-fog lens cleaner kit. The kit includes an anti-fog and anti-static lens cleaning solution and deluxe cleaning cloth in a convenient carry case. See our Products Page for more information.

Where are i-dapz manufactured?

The i-dapz Active Eyewear System is produced in South Asia by one of the largest, high-quality manufacturers in the sunglass industry.

Do you have additional information on i-dapz that you can mail to me?

We have attempted to provide complete information about our i-dapz sunglasses in our TV advertisements and at this Web site. If you have questions about i-dapz that are not answered here, please contact our Customer Care Center, toll-free, at 1-800-383-5009. And remember, you can always try the glasses and return them within 30 days for a full refund if you are not completely satisfied.

Can I use i-dapz if I require prescription glasses?

Yes. If you wear single-vision (not bifocal or trifocal) corrective lenses, the optional i-dapz optical adaptor can be fitted with your prescription by your eye care specialist. The optical adapter clips discreetly to the inside of your i-dapz frame.

Can I order the optical adaptor with my prescription lenses?

The optical adaptor CANNOT be ordered with your prescription. The optical adaptor comes with blank lenses that must be replaced with lenses fitted to your prescription by a licensed optician. The optical adaptor cannot be used by people wearing bi-focals, tri-focals or requiring very strong corrective lenses.

Where can I get prescription lenses for the i-dapz optical adaptor?

To have the optical adaptor fitted with your prescription lenses, take the blank optical adaptor and your eyeglass prescription to a qualified, licensed dispensing optician. Please make sure your prescription is less than one year old.

Note to Opticians: The lens size required to fit this optical adaptor has an effective diameter of 48mm. The final lens size is 43mm wide by 33mm top to bottom at the widest points (see diagram). The blank lenses in this optical adaptor should be removed and used as templates for the prescription lenses to be fitted into this optical adaptor frame.

What payment options are available to purchase i-dapz?

Online orders must be paid using a credit card. We accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover Card. Your card will not be charged until your order is actually shipped from our warehouse.

If you wish to pay via personal check, money order, or cashier's check, please call our Customer Care Center, toll-free, at 1-800-383-5009. A representative will be glad to calculate the price of your order including the correct shipping and handling fees for your shipping address. Payment must then be sent to:

Money orders or cashier's checks will be processed immediately upon receipt. Personal checks will require an additional 2 weeks to process.

Do you ship COD?

No. The non-delivery rates for COD orders make it cost prohibitive for us to do so.

How are shipping, handling, and taxes calculated?

Shipping and handling charges for all i-dapz products sold from this Web site are calculated using a minimum base rate for each order plus a small additional charge for each item in the order. The dollar amounts for these charges are dependant on the final shipping destination. For orders shipped within the United States (including the District of Columbia), the base S&H rate is $9.95. For other U.S. territories such as Puerto Rico or Guam, the base rate is $12.95. For shipments to Canada, the base rate is $15.95. The additional S&H charges for each item in the order are between $1 and $2 per item for all shipping destinations.

All charges are in U.S. funds. U.S. orders are not subject to sales tax. For Canadian orders, sales tax may be charged separately when the order is processed through Canadian customs.

All S&H charges are clearly indicated when you provide us with your shipping address at checkout and you will be able to review these charges before confirming your order. Other shipping options may also be available for faster delivery. These options will require extra charges that will be indicated at checkout.

Every effort is made to keep S&H as low as possible. The final S&H charges are based on the costs of warehousing, picking, packing, shipping, credit card authorization and transaction fees.

S&H IS HANDLED DIFFERENTLY FOR TELEPHONE ORDERS. IF YOU ORDER BY PHONE, PLEASE ASK THE TELEPHONE REPRESENTATIVE FOR MORE INFORMATION.

How long will it take for me to receive my i-dapz?

Provided inventory is available in our warehouse, most credit card, money order, and cashiers check orders are processed and shipped within 5 business days from receipt of payment. Personal check orders will take an additional 2 weeks to clear before shipment.

U.S. orders are shipped via USPS Priority Mail. Orders to Canada are shipped via UPS Ground. All orders should arrive within 2 to 4 weeks. Other shipping options may also be available for faster delivery. These options will require extra charges that will be indicated at checkout.

How is shipping handled for international destinations?

International orders have a total S&H charge of $50.00. It will take approximately 4-6 weeks for delivery. Unfortunately rush shipping cannot be applied to international orders.

Do you accept foreign currency for shipments to other countries?

Online orders can be shipped to addresses anywhere in the world, however all payments must be made in U.S. currency. If you pay by credit card, the funds will be withdrawn in U.S. currency. We do not accept foreign currency. Inquiries concerning international orders should be directed to our Customer Care Center. For $19.95, we offer a Loss and Theft Protection Program that covers your complete i-dapz Active Eyewear System for a period of 3 years from the date of purchase by the original owner.

My i-dapz have been lost or stolen. How will they be replaced?

If you purchased the Loss and Theft Protection Program, your i-dapz will be replaced once a year up to three years from the time of purchase. The i-dapz manufacturer's warranty only covers manufacturing defects and will not replace your i-dapz system if it is lost or stolen.

The i-dapz Active Eyewear System includes a try glasses, 30-day money back guarantee (less shipping and handling) if you are not entirely satisfied with the system. There is also a manufacturer's warranty against defects for as long as you own the product. What is covered by the i-dapz manufacturer's warranty?

The i-dapz Active Eyewear System includes a limited warranty that covers manufacturing defects for all components of the TV offer for as long as they are owned by the original owner. The warranty does not cover scratched lenses, lost parts, or other damage from abuse or misuse. No. Our policy is to replace defective components with parts that are identical or the latest equivalent to those that are returned.

It is always safe to insure them, since we cannot be responsible for any parts that are lost in the mail.
